MSI launches Claw 8 AI+ handheld gaming PC

MSI has launched the new Claw 8 AI+ A2VM, an advanced handheld gaming PC. This device features improved capabilities over its predecessor, the original Claw. It includes a larger eight-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and can output up to 500 nits of brightness. The screen also supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth gameplay. Weighing just 795 grams, the Claw 8 AI+ is considered lightweight. Its design integrates AI technology, maximizing performance and battery life. The handheld is equipped with advanced gaming controls, such as Hall effect analogue sticks and triggers, which enhance the gaming experience. It also has custom buttons for quick access to settings and includes Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless audio. In terms of hardware, the Claw 8 AI+ features an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor with eight cores, providing excellent performance for gaming. With 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, it ensures quick load times. The device supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology and has two Thunderbolt 4 ports for additional connectivity options. The battery is a standout feature, allowing up to four hours of gaming on a single charge. The handheld uses MSI’s Cooler Boost technology for effective cooling during gameplay. The device runs Windows 11, allowing it to function as a regular PC for tasks beyond gaming. The Claw 8 AI+ is currently available for pre-order at Currys for £899.
