Mother sentenced for severely neglecting her four children

Hannah Johnson, 28, was sentenced to 10 to 14 years in prison for child endangerment and kidnapping after her four children were found severely neglected in Cincinnati. They were malnourished, unable to eat properly, and had never attended school. Johnson's children, aged 7, 6, 4, and a younger child, were discovered by their grandmother in September 2023. The children were in a state of extreme malnourishment and required immediate medical attention. Johnson's uncle, who fathered the children, controlled her life and was a registered sex offender. He died in 2022, but the neglect continued until authorities intervened following a complaint about the family's living conditions.
