More carriers support RCS messaging on iPhones as compatibility grows
Apple's RCS support for iPhones has expanded since its launch with iOS 18. Initially, only major carriers like AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile supported the feature. Now, several additional carriers have adopted RCS, increasing compatibility for iPhone users. As of December 23, the list of carriers supporting RCS on iPhones includes Boost Mobile, C Spire, Cricket, and others. However, Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile, which serve about three million customers, have not yet implemented RCS support despite being acquired by T-Mobile. RCS offers improved messaging features, but end-to-end encryption is still unavailable. Users should check their settings to ensure RCS is enabled, but compatibility also depends on the Android user's device and carrier.
