Moradabad merchants lead Uttar Pradesh in GST registrations

Merchants in the Moradabad zone, despite challenges, lead Uttar Pradesh in Goods and Services Tax (GST) registrations. They achieved a 73.68% registration rate. This marks a repeat of their first-place position from September. Moradabad registered 21,926 businesses for GST by March 2025. This is a 4.33% increase compared to the previous year. The government had set a target of 29,757 registrations for the zone. The Moradabad zone collected 1468.76 crore rupees in revenue against a target of 2365.58 crore rupees. They currently rank fourth in revenue collection. Officials credit the achievement to the state tax officers.
