Modi and Macron discuss UNSC reform and strengthen India-France partnership in talks in France
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron met in France to strengthen their strategic partnership, focusing on trade, innovation, and global security. They emphasized the need for reform in the United Nations Security Council and supported India's permanent membership. During their talks, Modi and Macron discussed enhancing trade ties and agreed on 2026 as the India-France Year of Innovation. They also addressed geopolitical developments in Europe, West Asia, and the Indo-Pacific. The leaders inaugurated India's Consulate General in Marseille and visited a nuclear research facility.
