Modi affirms India's readiness to repatriate illegal migrants from the US
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India will accept back any of its citizens living illegally in the U.S. He emphasized that illegal immigrants have no right to stay in any country and highlighted the need to combat human trafficking. Modi's comments follow the recent deportation of 104 Indians from the U.S. He noted that many vulnerable individuals are misled into illegal immigration and called for joint efforts with the U.S. to tackle human trafficking. During the press conference, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the extradition of a convict from the 2008 Mumbai attacks to India.
