MobLand reworked from Ray Donovan spin-off concept

Guy Ritchie's new series, MobLand, is generating buzz as a fresh crime drama. The show, which features famous actors like Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan, is set to debut soon on Paramount+. MobLand tells the story of a powerful London crime family. Mirren plays Maeve, while Brosnan portrays Conrad Harrigan. When they face a rival family, they enlist the help of fixer Harry Da Souza, played by Hardy. Interestingly, MobLand was initially meant to be a spin-off from the popular crime series Ray Donovan. It was first announced as The Donovans, a prequel that would explore the origins of the Donovan family, known for their elite fixer services in Europe. The idea behind this spin-off was to show how family fortunes and relationships evolve in the world of crime. However, by October 2024, the creators decided to transform it into an independent series. Ritchie and the series creator, Ronan Bennett, are still involved, which adds to the excitement. In addition to the three leads, the cast includes actors like Paddy Considine and Joanne Froggatt. MobLand is expected to be one of the standout crime dramas this year and will premiere on March 30th.
