Mikko Espartero powers FEU to victory over UST in UAAP volleyball match

Mikko Espartero led Far Eastern University (FEU) to a 20-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-20 victory over the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in the UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball tournament. Espartero scored a game-high 19 points, supported by 12 family members in attendance. This win marked a significant turnaround for FEU, who sought revenge after being eliminated by UST in last year's Final Four. Coach Eddieson Orcullo praised the team's performance, highlighting contributions from players like Benny Martinez and Dryx Saavedra. UST faced a setback as two-time MVP Josh Ybañez suffered an ankle injury during the match. He had 15 points before being taken to the emergency room. Despite the loss, Trevor Valera stood out for UST with 11 points.
