Microsoft will discontinue Surface Laptop Studio
Microsoft is reportedly discontinuing the Surface Laptop Studio, its high-end laptop designed to compete with Apple's MacBook Pro. Production of the device is ending less than two years after its latest release. The company stopped producing the Surface Laptop Studio 2 earlier this month and plans to discontinue it in June. While unconfirmed by Microsoft, a distributor revealed limited availability. The laptop featured a 14-inch touchscreen, powerful Intel Core i7 processor, and NVIDIA graphics. This move aligns with Microsoft's shift towards AI-focused products, like Copilot+ PCs. The Surface Laptop Studio 2, designed as a professional alternative to Mac, may not fit the company's current strategic direction.
