Microsoft launches Windows 365 Link, its first cloud-based PC
Microsoft has launched Windows 365 Link, its first cloud-based PC, at the Ignite 2024 event. This compact device operates entirely in the cloud, unlike traditional PCs, and features a locked-down system with no local data or apps. Windows 365 Link supports dual 4K monitors, has four USB ports, and offers Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. It is designed for high-performance tasks like video playback and Microsoft Teams meetings while enhancing security by reducing potential vulnerabilities. The device will be available for $349 in select markets starting April 2025. A preview program is open until December 15, 2024, for users in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Germany, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
