Michelin-star chef opens new seafood restaurant in Denver
Chef Johnny Curiel is opening a new restaurant, Mezcaleria Alma, next to his Michelin-starred Alma Fonda Fina in Denver. The new venue will focus on seafood and Mexico City-inspired dishes, featuring fresh fish and a variety of agave spirits. Mezcaleria Alma will offer a unique menu, including dishes like ceviche with dry-aged kampachi and oxtail tacos. The restaurant will also serve as a space for mentorship, hosting other chefs on closed Tuesdays to share knowledge and ideas. Designed with a vibrant atmosphere, Mezcaleria Alma will include a chef’s counter for diners to interact with the kitchen. It will also feature seasonal desserts, setting it apart from Alma Fonda Fina.
