Metrolinx ended Boxfish's Eglinton Crosstown, Ottawa LRT contract

Metrolinx has terminated its contract with Boxfish, a consulting firm involved in the Eglinton Crosstown and Ottawa LRT projects, following scrutiny. The decision, confirmed by a Metrolinx spokesperson, comes after an internal review by the new CEO focused on efficiency and taxpayer dollars. Boxfish and its owner, Brian Guest, previously faced criticism regarding his dual role at Metrolinx and the firm's contracts. Guest, who also worked on the problem-plagued Ottawa LRT, was previously a Metrolinx vice-president. The provincial government had previously pledged to investigate contracts awarded during his tenure.
