Metra Electric 103rd Street station to reopen as 95th Street station closes for two years of renovations

Metra will reopen the 103rd Street/Rosemoor station on March 3. This coincides with the closure of the 95th Street/Chicago State University station for two years of renovations. The renovations are part of a $33 million project to modernize 13 stations on the Metra Electric Line. The upgrades include new lobbies, elevators, and improved platforms. The 95th Street station is expected to reopen in the third quarter of 2027. The project will enhance accessibility with a new street-level entrance and storefront.
