Max Lamb launches unique 50 Armchair at Design.Space LA
Designer Max Lamb, in collaboration with Salon 94, has introduced the 50 Armchair. This piece follows his 60 Chair project and is made from hand-cut polystyrene. The material is typically used for packaging but is transformed in this artful approach. The design features additional arm rests and is painted in a bright "Coca-Cola" red. The chair’s unique polygonal shape takes inspiration from Brutalist architecture, highlighting Lamb's focus on raw, resourceful designs. Each chair showcases subtle differences, a result of Lamb's hands-on assembly process. With growing concerns about industrial waste, Lamb is exploring new uses for neglected materials. His approach emphasizes flaws and irregularities, presenting them as attractive qualities. The 50 Armchair is priced at $6,000 and will be displayed at Design.Space LA starting today.
