Mary Beth Roe honors late QVC stars before retirement
Mary Beth Roe is celebrating her time at QVC as she prepares for her retirement. In a recent interview, she shared touching memories of her late colleagues, particularly Joan Rivers. Roe, who is 65, recalled how she felt intimidated by Rivers at first but soon discovered her kind nature. Roe treasured Rivers' friendship, especially during a difficult time when her young daughter was sick. Rivers offered to help by connecting Roe with a hospital in New York. Roe emphasized Rivers' big heart and how much she cared for others. Throughout her 37 years as a QVC host, Roe has worked with many talented personalities, some of whom have passed away too soon. She wants viewers to remember these stars and the joy they brought to the network. Roe reflects on her connections with names like Barry Ort, Tova Borgnine, and Jeanne Bice. She also recalls fond memories with other hosts, including Nick Chavez and Nolan Miller. Despite their different backgrounds, Roe found common ground with her colleagues through their shared love of jewelry. Her retirement celebration, titled "My Time with Mary Beth," will air on QVC on March 21 at 8 p.m. ET.
