Marcos announces five infrastructure projects to boost tourism and economy in the Philippines

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced five new infrastructure projects aimed at boosting tourism and economic growth in the Philippines. The projects include the New Cebu International Container Port, Cebu Bus Rapid Transit system, and modernization of Bohol-Panglao International Airport. The New Cebu International Container Port, costing P17 billion, aims to reduce congestion at the existing port and create jobs. The Cebu Bus Rapid Transit system, a P28.7 billion project, will improve transportation in Cebu City. The modernization of Bohol-Panglao International Airport is expected to increase its capacity significantly by 2026. New airports in Dumaguete and Siargao are also planned to enhance opportunities for local communities and businesses.
