M&S tops Which? survey as best UK supermarket while Tesco follows closely
Marks and Spencer (M&S) has been named the best UK supermarket in a Which? survey, achieving a customer score of 79% for in-store performance. M&S received high marks for store appearance and product quality but only three stars for value. Tesco ranked second with scores of 74% in-store and 79% online. Aldi, Iceland, and Waitrose tied for third place at 72%. Aldi was recognized as the cheapest supermarket for 2024 but faced complaints about checkout queues and stock issues. The survey included 3,206 shoppers and assessed various factors like store appearance and delivery options. M&S was not part of the online survey, as its food is delivered through Ocado.
