Man faces Cork court for airport arson

A 32-year-old man has been charged with arson at Cork Airport, after allegedly setting fire to three vehicles and causing over €100,000 in damage. The man, Mateusz Stula, was refused bail on Wednesday after being charged with three counts of arson related to the incident on June 10. The vehicles included a waste removal tanker and two privately owned vehicles. The court heard the accused was employed at the business park and the case may proceed on indictment, potentially leading to a 10-year prison sentence. The accused's solicitor cited alcohol and medication issues.
