Man charged with murdering elderly woman in Brisbane

A 40-year-old man named Alexander Clive Webb has been charged with the murder of a 79-year-old woman in Brisbane, Australia. The woman, Cecilia Webb, was found with a stab wound in a yard on Chestnut Place in The Gap on Monday afternoon. She was declared dead at the scene. Police quickly declared a crime scene and began investigating her death. Later, they located Alexander Webb at Brisbane Airport, where he was arrested by the Australian Federal Police around 6:30 PM the same day. On Tuesday, Webb remained in custody and did not appear in court for his initial hearing at the Brisbane Magistrates Court. The court case has been postponed until April 22.
