"Malcolm in the Middle" reboot replaces Dewey

The "Malcolm in the Middle" reboot will feature the original cast, except for Dewey, who will be replaced by Caleb Ellsworth-Clark. Erik Per Sullivan, the original Dewey, declined to reprise the role. Bryan Cranston confirmed Sullivan's absence, explaining Sullivan is pursuing a master's degree at Harvard. The reboot, consisting of four episodes, has already finished production and is expected to air on Disney+. Sullivan, who hasn't acted in years, stepped away from acting after the original series ended. The reboot will reunite Cranston, Frankie Muniz, Jane Kaczmarek, Justin Berfield, and Christopher Masterson.
