Maharashtra CM thanks PM Modi for extradition of 26/11 mastermind Tahawwur Rana from US
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for securing the extradition of Tahawwur Rana from the US. Rana is a key figure in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks that killed 174 people. Previously, Rana was protected by the US, and extradition efforts faced challenges. Following diplomatic negotiations, US President Donald Trump confirmed Rana's extradition to India. The extradition is seen as a significant step towards justice for the victims of the 26/11 attacks. Logistical arrangements for Rana's handover to Indian authorities are currently being made.
