MACC will complete Klang Valley sukuk misuse probe soon
The investigation into the alleged misuse of sukuk funds for a Klang Valley highway project is expected to conclude within one to two months. This was announced by Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki. The MACC is analyzing financial documents and has already recorded statements from 53 witnesses. More witnesses will be called, including a Tan Sri whose statement recording resumed today. The highway concessionaire is also a key witness. The investigation focuses on the alleged misappropriation of sukuk funds. Assets worth approximately RM143 million have been seized, and investigators are tracing luxury vehicles and properties linked to the case.
