Lübeck customers await mail for weeks

mopo.de (German)

Customers in northern Germany are experiencing significant delays in mail and package deliveries, with some waiting weeks for their mail. This is despite a legal requirement for letters to be delivered within four days. The Federal Network Agency has noted a notable increase in complaints specifically for Lübeck and has initiated an investigation into delivery issues in Itzehoe. Deutsche Post AG is required to explain the reasons for these quality deficiencies and outline corrective actions. These delivery problems are not isolated to the north, with nearly 23,000 complaints about postal services received nationwide in the first half of 2025, a 13% increase from the previous year.
