Lossless Scaling app enhances frame generation with new resolution scale feature
Lossless Scaling, a $7 app on Steam, has released a new beta update that enhances its frame generation capabilities. This update introduces a resolution scale feature, allowing users to lower input frame resolution for improved performance with minimal quality loss. Unlike Nvidia's DLSS 3 and AMD's FSR 3, Lossless Scaling works with any game and graphics card, potentially tripling or quadrupling frame rates. The new feature enables users to maintain high frame rates while slightly reducing the resolution of input frames. Additionally, the update removes the older LSFG 1 algorithm and adds support for Qualcomm's Snapdragon Game Super Resolution, improving upscaling on weaker GPUs. Users can access the beta update through the app's properties on Steam.
