Liverpool FC plans to expand Anfield retail store
Liverpool Football Club has submitted a planning application to the city council to refurbish its main retail store at Anfield. The plans aim to expand the store by nearly 4,000 square feet and improve the shopping experience for fans ahead of the 2025-26 season. The Anfield store, the largest LFC retail outlet globally, was built in 2017 and covers 20,000 square feet. It attracts over one million visitors each season. The proposed plans include wider entrances, an expanded mezzanine, and improved accessibility features. The store will adopt a new concept design, set to open in August 2025. Changes aim to enhance the shopping experience for fans, especially with the stadium now accommodating 61,000 spectators. Lee Dwerryhouse from LFC emphasized the importance of the store in enhancing fan engagement. If approved, renovations will start in mid-May, with a temporary relocation to The Kop Bar during the renovation period.
