Lisowski defeats Bai to end historic UK Championship run for women’s champion

Jack Lisowski defeated Bai Yulu 6-1 in the final qualifying round of the UK Championship, ending her historic attempt to be the first woman to reach the last 32. Lisowski made several high breaks, including 85 and 66, to secure his win. Bai, the world women's champion, briefly closed the gap with a half-century but could not overcome Lisowski's strong performance. Lisowski's victory allows him to advance to the draw for the first Triple Crown event of the season in York. In other matches, Stephen Maguire edged Elliot Slessor 6-5, while Stuart Bingham won 6-0 against Jimmy Robertson. Jackson Page, Jak Jones, Ryan Day, and Barry Hawkins also secured their spots in the tournament with solid wins.
