Lionsgate schedules Jason Statham thriller Mutiny for January 2026 release

Lionsgate has announced that the action thriller "Mutiny," starring Jason Statham, will be released on January 9, 2026. Directed by Jean-Francois Richet, the film follows Statham's character, Cole Reed, who is framed for his boss's murder. The film features Annabelle Wallis and Jason Wong alongside Statham, who is also a producer. Lionsgate will handle domestic distribution, while Sky will manage the U.K. release. "Mutiny" will debut a week after Universal/Blumhouse's "Soulm8te." Lionsgate recently had success with "Den of Thieves: Pantera," which earned nearly $36 million at the U.S. box office.
