LG launches hotel TVs with AirPlay and Google Cast support for seamless streaming

zdnet.com

LG has introduced new hotel TVs that support both AirPlay and Google Cast, making it easier for guests to stream content from their devices. This is the first hotel TV to offer built-in compatibility for both Apple and Android casting. Support for Google Cast began on January 10, allowing guests to connect by scanning a unique QR code on the TV. This feature is available on TVs running webOS 23 or later, including select 2022 and all 2023 models. While LG has not specified which hotels will feature these TVs, around 60 InterContinental Hotel Group locations currently support Apple AirPlay. It is expected that Google Cast will also be available at these sites.
