LG enhances hotel TV experience with Google Cast support for Android users

zdnet.com

LG has announced that its hotel TVs will now support Google Cast, in addition to Apple AirPlay. This makes LG the first to offer both casting options built-in, simplifying streaming for guests. Previously, hotel TVs required users to log into streaming services. With the new feature, guests can connect their devices by scanning a unique QR code, allowing them to stream content without logging in each time. The Google Cast support began on January 10 and is available in select hotels, including many InterContinental Hotel Group locations. The connection will remain active during a guest's stay and will erase history upon checkout.
