Leslie Bibb's character inspired by reality TV icons

Leslie Bibb recently talked about her character in "The White Lotus" during an interview on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. She said she drew inspiration from reality television, particularly Bravo shows. Bibb admitted she based her character, Kate, partially on designer Rachel Zoe and elements from various "Real Housewives" stars. In the third season of the HBO series, Bibb plays a Texas mom enjoying a vacation with friends. As the story unfolds, their relationships become more complicated, leading to funny but tense moments. Bibb mentioned she often watched "Real Housewives" to get into character, saying it helped shape Kate’s personality. She noted that episodes from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and hints from "The Real Housewives of Orange County" influenced her approach. Leslie Bibb isn’t the only cast member to tap into reality TV for inspiration. Sam Nivola, who also stars in the series, said his family’s characters were modeled after people from the show "Southern Charm." Nivola explained that their director encouraged them to watch "Southern Charm" for ideas. Actor Jason Isaacs confirmed this during a recent appearance, noting that his character was inspired by someone from the show as well. New episodes of "The White Lotus" air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
