Leslie Bibb studied "Real Housewives" for character preparation

Leslie Bibb recently shared that she watched the "Real Housewives" reality show as part of her preparation for her role in Season 3 of "The White Lotus." Bibb plays a Texas housewife named Kate Bohr in the HBO series. In an interview, Bibb explained that she found inspiration from various sources. She mentioned a connection to the world of fashion icon Rachel Zoe. However, she often turned to the "Real Housewives" franchise right before filming her scenes. She said, "I was watching The Real Housewives always before scenes... just to see what seeps in." Bibb noticed that a lot of the drama and lifestyle from "Beverly Hills" felt fitting for her character. She also referenced "The Real Housewives of Orange County" and hinted that her character may have some traits inspired by Heather Dubrow. Co-star Jason Isaacs, who plays Timothy Ratliff, said the show's creator, Mike White, encouraged the cast to watch "Southern Charm." Isaacs implied that he drew inspiration from one of the characters in that show. "This season features a strong cast," Bibb noted, highlighting her co-stars, including Parker Posey and Patrick Schwarzenegger. She also praised her partner, Sam Rockwell, for his performance in a recent episode, calling his monologue iconic and central to the season's theme.
