Lazy Moon Pizza marks 20 years of giant slices and community success in Orlando

Lazy Moon Pizza in Orlando is celebrating its 20th anniversary on December 18. Known for its large pizza slices, the restaurant has expanded from its original location near the University of Central Florida to three sites, including Mills 50 and Maitland. Founders Tim Brown and Matt Griffis opened Lazy Moon in 2004, initially struggling to attract customers. Over time, they refined their pizza and business model, focusing on quality and value, which helped them gain a loyal following. To mark the anniversary, Lazy Moon will offer its popular Boxcar Willie special for $3.50, the original price from 2004. The restaurant has evolved significantly, now providing employee benefits and catering services for former students.
