Las Vegas Sands Corp. has secured $12 billion in loans for its Marina Bay Sands expansion in Singapore. The funds will support a $4.5 billion project that includes a new 1,000-suite tower and a performance arena, with construction starting in July 2025. Acres Manufacturing Co. plans to install 1,000 cashless table systems in U.S. casinos throughout 2025. The Cashless2Chips system allows players to use mobile devices for transactions, enhancing the cashless gaming experience already available for slot machines in 40 casinos. A bipartisan bill to repeal the federal excise tax on sports betting has been reintroduced by U.S. Representatives Dina Titus and Guy Reschenthaler. This tax, which affects legal sports wagers, has been criticized for disadvantaging legal operators compared to illegal sportsbooks.
