Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky name their baby girl Rose Bean Polansky
Lady Gaga and fiancé Michael Polansky have named their first child Rose Bean Polansky, according to a birth certificate obtained by TMZ. The couple's daughter was born via surrogate on June 9 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The name Rose is reportedly inspired by Édith Piaf's classic "La Vie En Rose," which Gaga performed in A Star Is Born, while the middle name Bean is believed to honor singer and LGBTQ+ activist Carl Bean. The couple's parenthood became public on September 11 when they were photographed with their newborn in Northern California. Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, began dating in late 2019, went public in 2020, and got engaged in 2024. They have kept their family life private and have not publicly commented on their daughter's name or birth.
