Kuwait acquired Needlefish drones for maritime surveillance

Kuwait's Coast Guard has acquired two high-speed, autonomous patrol vessels called Needlefish, designed for maritime surveillance. These 46-foot drones can monitor 11,000 square kilometers of ocean. The Needlefish, developed by Ocean Infinity, is a catamaran capable of 40 knots and is equipped with specialized sensors. It is part of a larger maritime surveillance network created by SRT Marine Systems, providing comprehensive security capabilities. The vessels, built in the UK, are designed for missions like patrolling and mapping. They are remotely controlled and can operate for several days, transmitting live data to command centers.
