Kumamoto City Tram's transport bureau failed to test nearly 70% of its drivers on a crucial safety skill following a recent collision. The transport bureau admitted that in fiscal year 2024, it did not verify the "following distance driving" skill for 54 out of 79 drivers, including the one involved in the March accident that injured 15 passengers.
