KSPCB will submit Yelahanka plant pollution report
The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) will submit a report on the Yelahanka gas plant to the Supreme Court this month, potentially impacting the plant's future operation. The report details air and noise pollution levels monitored over a six-month trial period, comparing data before and during the plant's operation. The KSPCB collaborated with Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) to compile the comprehensive report. The Yelahanka plant, facing legal challenges, was allowed a trial period by the Supreme Court. The Yelahanka Puttenahalli Lake and Bird Conservation Trust has expressed concerns about pollution levels.
