Kristofer Hivju transforms into a charming Krampus in Amazon's 'Red One'

In Amazon's upcoming film "Red One," Kristofer Hivju portrays a reimagined version of Krampus, Santa's brother. Unlike traditional depictions, this Krampus is designed to be attractive and charismatic, introduced as the heroes search for Santa. Hivju's transformation involved an 85-pound suit created through extensive fittings and makeup sessions. The process, which initially took four hours, was eventually reduced to two and a half hours, despite causing skin irritation for Hivju. The costume design pays tribute to Krampus' folklore roots while emphasizing a more masculine appearance. The team aimed to make Krampus both menacing and appealing, blending traditional elements with a modern twist.
