Korean bamboo salt is the world's most expensive salt, costing approximately ₹35,000 per kilogram. This rare salt, also known as purple bamboo salt, is used in Korean cuisine and traditional medicine. Its high price is due to a complex nine-time roasting process at high temperatures. The salt absorbs bamboo's flavor, giving it a unique sweet taste and containing various colored crystals after the final roasting at 1000°C.
