Kitchener collision: Motorist faces careless driving charge

A motorist has been charged with careless driving following a collision involving an ION light rail train in Kitchener on Wednesday. The 31-year-old driver was charged after the crash near King Street West and Linwood Avenue, which caused minor injuries and halted ION service for about two hours. Road closures were also in effect for several hours. The incident was one of two collisions involving the ION on Wednesday; the other occurred earlier with no reported injuries.
