Key Chinese car brands will remain in Russia

Dealers in Russia have shared which Chinese car brands will still be available in the market in 2025. The main brands expected to remain are Haval, Chery, Geely, Changan, Omoda, Jaecoo, Belgee, Jetour, and Solaris. According to Renat Tyukteev, a sales executive at "Avilon," these brands are popular and will continue to be in demand. He mentioned that Chery will soon be renamed Tenet. Nikolai Ivanov, director at "Rolf," confirmed that the top three Chinese brands will likely stay the same: Haval, Chery, and Geely. He emphasized that there are no major changes on the horizon. Andrey Olkhovskiy, CEO of "Avtodom," noted that large corporations with long-term plans for Russia are expected to maintain their positions. He added that while some Chinese brands may want to enter the Russian market, they are hesitant to invest in brand promotion, which is crucial for success in the current climate.
