Kerala readers access French literature via new initiative
A new initiative, "Pardon My French!", launched today, aims to make French literature more accessible to readers in Kerala through curated translations and accessible editions. The French Institute in India and DC Books collaborated to open the "Pardon My French!" bookshelf, featuring translated French classics and contemporary works. The launch included a discussion between Shashi Tharoor and the French Ambassador to India, exploring cultural commonalities. The initiative seeks to foster cultural exchange and understanding, with discussions highlighting the role of literature in building empathy and global citizenship, particularly among the youth.
