Kane County launching Election Day complaint hotline

Kane County officials are setting up a complaint line for voters on Election Day. The line will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 1, 2025, when the consolidated election takes place. Residents can call 630-208-5328 to report any suspected illegal activities related to the election. The line will be managed by assistant state’s attorneys from Kane County. They will help ensure that state election laws are followed. Examples of issues that can be reported include illegal campaign signs and any attempts to block someone from voting. However, this line is not meant for general election information, such as polling locations. For those details, voters should call the Kane County Clerk’s Election Helpline at 630-232-5990. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser emphasized the importance of fair elections. She stated that every voter should be able to vote safely and without intimidation. Mosser encourages anyone who witnesses unlawful interference to use the complaint line.
