Kakao Entertainment partners with Japan's Babel Label to co-produce new content

Kakao Entertainment has partnered with Japan's Babel Label to co-produce new dramatic content and adapt Kakao's intellectual property for international audiences. This collaboration marks Babel Label director Fujii Michihito's first project with a Korean company. Fujii is known for his award-winning film "The Journalist" and recent successes like "Faceless." The partnership aims to enhance the global reach of both companies and strengthen the media industries in Korea and Japan. Kakao's 2025 slate includes adaptations of popular webtoons and web novels, such as "Crushology" and "Karma." Upcoming projects also feature stars like IU and Park Bo-gum, with "The Match" set for release on March 26.
