Juventus may sell players after sacking Thiago Motta
Juventus has sacked head coach Thiago Motta, and this decision will cost the club around €15 million. To cover this expense and meet their financial goals, Juventus needs to generate an extra €30 million by the end of June. Motta was under contract until 2027, meaning Juventus will continue to pay his salary unless he finds a new job soon. The club has appointed Igor Tudor as the new head coach for the remaining nine games of the season. The team aims to finish the 2024-25 financial year with losses below €32 million. Juventus announced a profit of nearly €17 million in the first half of the year. However, without Champions League income and a major sponsor, they face financial challenges. Selling some players could be the best option for Juventus to raise the needed funds. However, a cash injection from their holding company, Exor, is unlikely at this time.
