John Abraham meets Jaishankar before film release

In "The Diplomat," Abraham plays a fictionalized version of Singh, who was the deputy high commissioner in Islamabad in 2017. The story follows Singh's efforts to rescue an Indian woman, Uzma Ahmad, who was trapped in Pakistan. Ahmad had been lured to Pakistan under false pretenses and faced serious danger. Singh coordinated her rescue with Indian authorities, leading to her safe return to India after a court ruling allowed her to leave.
