Jimenez wins Hoag Classic, celebrates in model car

Miguel Angel Jimenez won the PGA Tour Champions Hoag Classic, marking his second victory this year and the 15th of his career in this tour. He played strongly, going head-to-head with Fred Couples in the first two rounds. In the final round, Couples could not keep up, finishing with a score of 71, while Jimenez shot 67 to secure the win. Jimenez celebrated his victory with a unique twist. He took a victory lap in a small electric scale model car provided by Aston Martin, a sponsor of the tournament. After the win, Jimenez expressed his happiness. He described the win as a reward for his consistency and experience over the years. Despite the fun celebration, he will not keep the model car, as winners are not allowed to take it home. Jimenez has had a long career on the PGA Tour Champions, competing in 188 events with 15 wins. Before this, he played 153 events on the PGA Tour without a win, but achieved notable finishes. He was particularly successful on the European Tour, winning 21 tournaments between 1992 and 2014, including the Open de España in 2014 while competing in the Senior circuit.
