Jayson Tatum sets Celtics record with historic triple-double against Bulls
Jayson Tatum made history in the Boston Celtics' win over the Chicago Bulls, scoring 43 points, grabbing 16 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists. This marked his first triple-double of the season and the first 40-point triple-double in Celtics history. Tatum's performance included shooting 16-of-24 overall and 9-of-15 from three-point range. He is now the only Celtics player to achieve at least 40 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists in a game, a feat last accomplished by Larry Bird. Despite his success, Tatum has not yet won the NBA MVP award. He is currently averaging 28.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists this season. The Celtics will play the Orlando Magic next.
