Jammu and Kashmir police raid terror-linked organizations' locations
Police in Jammu and Kashmir have carried out multiple raids in connection with terror-related cases. The Awantipora police were involved in searches across the district, targeting suspected members of banned organizations. The raids focused on groups like Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Muslim League, and Peoples Freedom League, which were declared illegal in 2024. Officers searched homes and properties in several villages in Budgam District. They previously searched the head office of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, recovering important evidence. In Awantipora, police also targeted activists related to the banned organizations. These actions were based on their connections to ongoing investigations. The operations took place with the presence of local magistrates to ensure they were conducted lawfully. An official from Jammu and Kashmir Police stated that they are dedicated to maintaining peace and security in the area. The police plan to continue these raids to combat terrorism effectively and create a safer environment in Jammu and Kashmir.
