The post comes after news that her ex-husband, Kyle Newman, was awarded sole physical custody of their children, James, 11, and Leo, 9. The custody decision followed King's failure to complete a rehab program that was part of her recovery plan. King and Newman were married from 2007 to 2020 and did not share detailed custody terms after their divorce in 2023. Reports indicated that Newman had previously expressed concerns about King's ability to parent, which contributed to the custody decision. Although she lost primary custody, King has been granted visitations three times a week, supervised by family members or Newman’s brother. A source described King as "devastated and embarrassed" by the recent developments related to her custody battle. King gave birth to her sons in 2013 and 2015. Newman has claimed in court documents that their younger son was born addicted to opiates due to King's alleged substance use during pregnancy. King’s younger son is also Taylor Swift's godson, but the two no longer seem to be in contact.
